Most paint defects happen during preparation, before the first spray: fingerprints, wax or silicone residue stop primer and paint from adhering properly. The result is craters ("fish eyes"), peeling or dull spots.
GLOSSDOC Silicone Remover removes grease, silicone and care product residue from paint, metal and plastic without leaving a trace. Apply after sanding and right before every coat, wipe off with a clean cloth and let it flash off.
After the silicone remover comes the primer and spot repair range: the 1K Epoxy Primer Grey is corrosion protection and adhesion primer in one, and the 1K blending paint gives soft, almost invisible transitions. Finally, the 2K clear lacquer range seals the repair.
Before degreasing, key the area by sanding so that primer and paint get a mechanical grip. Remove the sanding dust thoroughly and only then use the silicone remover: apply with a clean, lint-free cloth and wipe off with a second cloth before it dries. After that, do not touch the surface with bare hands – even a single fingerprint can make the paint pull away again.
