What the film is about

The film briefly shows what Car & Wheel Repair is about: 2K clear coat, primer and blending paint in a can – for a workshop finish in gloss, satin or matt. In this category you will find refinishing and repair products that let you restore wheels, minor paint damage and surfaces yourself: targeted repairs instead of a complete respray.

The 2K clear coat cures chemically with a hardener, which makes it far tougher than 1K paint – resistant to UV light, weather, petrol and cleaning agents. It comes in gloss, satin and matt, each in 200 ml and 500 ml. The 1K Epoxy Primer Grey provides adhesion, corrosion protection and an even surface, and the 1K Blending Paint gives clean transitions between old and new paint. The silicone remover is the basis of every paint repair: it removes grease, silicone and care product residue.

Step by step

1. Key the area by sanding and remove the sanding dust thoroughly.
2. Degrease with the silicone remover and do not touch the surface with bare hands afterwards.
3. Prime wherever bare metal or plastic has been exposed.
4. Apply the colour and seal it with the 2K clear coat in the right finish.
5. Blend the edges with the blending paint and respect the drying times on the can.

Tip: Several thin coats are better than one thick coat – and let each coat flash off properly.
