1K epoxy primer on film

What the film is about

The film briefly shows what sets the GLOSSDOC 1K Epoxy Primer Grey apart: corrosion protection and adhesion primer in one – it can be painted over and is made in Germany. The epoxy base seals the substrate, protects metal from moisture and creates an even, durable base for the rest of the paint build-up.

The primer adheres to steel, aluminium and galvanised surfaces and can be painted over with 1K and 2K paints. As a 1K product it needs no mixing ratios. It suits bodywork, repair and smart repair jobs as well as spot repairs on wheels, especially where bare metal has been exposed. With careful preparation it is easy to use for ambitious DIYers too – cleanliness and enough drying time decide the result.

Step by step

1. Clean the area, degrease it with silicone remover and sand it.
2. Remove the sanding dust and degrease again.
3. Mask off the surrounding area generously.
4. Apply 1–2 thin, even coats to avoid runs and unevenness.
5. Let the primer dry completely and sand it lightly before base coat or clear coat follows.

Tip: Observe the drying times on the can between coats.
